Johnson scholar requests travel grant to Staunton to study differences between small town life and slightly smaller town life

Eryn Frix revved up her Kia Optima to head off on a grand excursion to Staunton two weeks ago, hoping to unlock the insights of a foreign land. “I’m really blessed to have the opportunity,” Frix said, “I’ve only read about Staunton and love how simply the people live there.” After the experience, Frix mentioned that her worldview had been greatly expanded and that she did not understand why you have not yet studied abroad. Classmates are reportedly thrilled to hear Frix’s contributions in class nowadays, which all begin with a reference to her abroad experience. –Andrew Coats & Ford Carson
