The Radish’s Guide to Mock Con

As the 2024 Mock Convention approaches, many students have questions about this prestigious and historical event. Questions may include: What do I wear? Where do I go? What time does everything start? Who is speaking? And more.

Luckily for you, we here at the Radish are here to lend a helping hand. Everything you need to know about this weekend is listed below, there is no need to look at any other resource.

Convention Attire:

While the speakers and other officials may be in business formal attire, students need not dress up to that degree. Students are encouraged to wear spirited outfits, ranging anywhere from a partner elephant costume to a body-paint rendition of the American flag.

This is how our community shows our passion and fervor for school traditions, so please, do comply with the dress code.

Behavior at Convention:

A serious event such as this one may cause general nervousness in attendees. For this reason, there are some behavioral expectations set in place.

For one, students should only yell at one another, or else no one will be heard.

Students are also expected to use as many buzzwords and radical opinions as possible in the hopeful case that a visiting speaker may hear you and apply your beliefs to the entire school.

Many students also wonder if this is a dry event and what the rules surrounding alcohol are. You should absolutely drink during this event, it is both expected and encouraged.

We hope that this guide eases your anxiety over this event, and as always, should you have any questions feel free to reach out via phone call at 911. (this number can change)
