Public Safety offers new class on parking management and enforcement

Are you looking for a new way to get your EXP credits out of the way? With PubSafe’s new course on parking management you need not look any further!

Known for their innovative spirits, the public safety officers have devised a brand new way to increase employment and ticket profits with little cost by teaching students how to ruin a student driver’s day.

Topics covered in the syllabus reach far and wide, ranging from practical skills to judgement calls. You will learn how to tow a car, write a ticket, and time fifteen minutes perfectly in your head.

The second part of the semester focuses on what to do about rude parkers and if there should be repercussions for those who park inconsiderately. If you drive a small car and pull all the way to the front of a spot where no one can see you, watch out!

The midterm will be based around understanding how and when to use the phrase, “Now I’m gonna be nice today…”, and the class will culminate in a final ticketing exercise in which students will race to find the most parking violations on campus.

In collaboration with the Career and Professional Development office PubSafe has announced that if you passed the class, you would earn your own PubSafe uniform and job! Not only does this new offering present an abundance of knowledge but a guaranteed career and future in the flourishing and competitive parking industry. Run, don’t walk to Workday right now!

As cars on campus increase and parking spots decrease, this class will help curb Washington and Lee’s parking crisis by inspiring students to park legally or get out of town, as it’s seeming like those are the only two options left.

Students enrolled in this class will gain 4 EXP credits and a lifelong passion for safety (or whatever safety an enforced fifteen minute spot provides).
