Modeling his new approach after Kellyane Conway’s example, future campaign manager Thomas Bernard, ’18, said he looks forward to defending everything his candidate ever posted on social media. “I used to think that being a campaign manager was all about strategy and coming up with real policy, but this election year taught me the voters don’t care about any of that.” Bernard continued the interview by saying, “If Kellyane can get Trump elected after having a timeline full of CNN-worthy tweets, I’m sure whatever my candidate says will require minimal effort from me.” At the time of publishing, Bernard had reportedly stopped participating in his Political Philosophy class after reading Locke and proclaiming he was “Sad!” –Karen Santana-Garces ‘17
